The dog days of summer seem to be here earlier this year! Thank goodness that the Lighthosue Art Center is having A DOG-GONE ART SHOW to make it seem somehow appealing. Quite a few of our artists are busy painting dogs of many colors and stripes...literally! Entries are due on July 12th and proceeds will benefit the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Also, there are two more juried shows at the Lighthouse that can keep us all busy until the weather cools down.

HOCUS POCUS (Halloween inspired) also September 30th-November 2nd

Entries for these shows are available at the Lighthouse Art Center.

NEW VENUE: NORTH PALM BEACH GOLF COURSE on U.S. 1. Thank you to Rod Martter for finding this site to display our Art. This space can hold about six large paintings and local landscapes would be appropriate. Work must be framed and ready to hang. We will be changing paintings every two months.

Thank to Nancy Tilles for her demonstration in June She highlighted her basic approach color theory and form in painting. Nancy is quite an accoumplished artist who travels the show circuit all winter. Her work can be seen at The Village Art Studios.

GET READY: NCAA has two upcoming shows in October

This year NCAA awarded a donation of $400 to the Lighthouse Art Center School. This is in appreaciation for all that they do for us and the community. Katie Deits has brought a welcome change to LAC and we look forward to even greater participation in the year ahead.
