The first thing I want to do this month is thank all of you who are helping me keep North County Art Association running smoothly. It's really been a team effort and I hope that members continue to enjoy being a part of this group. Each month we try to find interesting and informative speakers and would ask everyone to help us with this endeavor. Meeting back in the main gallery of the Lighthouse Center has really been much more pleasant and we have Katie Deits to thank for that. Also, Katie has arranged for our May exhibit at the Mos'art Theatre in Lake Park.
The Student-Member show at the Lighthouse Center for the Arts was a great success with 165 entries. Once again, NCAA took home many of the prizes!

Our April meeting was a critique of the show, given by Dori Lemeh, Professor of Art at FAU. We had invited Dori before and asked her back because she gives a thoughtful talk that is very positive and rather inspirational. It gave us the chance to really "look" at the art.
Our May demonstrator will be Cynthia McCallister, a New York painter who has settled in our areal
